Matt Dixon is an associate in Querrey & Harrow’s Chicago office and concentrates his practice in general civil defense litigation, defense of civil rights claims and general litigation. Prior to joining Querrey & Harrow, Mr. Dixon was a trial attorney with the City of Chicago’s Law Department, where he litigated matters in both state and federal courts and tried multiple federal cases to verdict.
Mr. Dixon received his law degree from The John Marshall Law School. While in law school, Mr. Dixon made the Dean’s List, was a staff editor of The John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law and participated in the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Mock Trial Competition. Mr. Dixon also worked during law school as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Barbara McDonald in the Circuit Court of Cook County.
Prior to law school, Mr. Dixon attended the University of Iowa, graduating with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. While attending the University of Iowa Mr. Dixon studied abroad in London as part of an international business program and served as the Risk Management Chairman of his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
