Not Guilty Obtained for Radiologist in a Medical Malpractice Claim

January 2007

Robert Huebsch obtained a not guilty verdict in a medical malpractice case against a radiologist, who was claimed to have failed to properly interpret a wrist x-ray.  The 22-year-old plaintiff claimed he required 4 surgeries due to a non-union of a fracture site and was left with a permanent disability and deformation of the wrist.  The defense argued the fracture occurred after the x-ray review.  Plaintiff's counsel asked the jury for $3 million, but the jury returned a verdict in favor of Mr. Huebsch's client after only 45 minutes of deliberation.
