Dave Flynn obtained a defense judgment in a case following the drowning a of 7-year-old girl in a retention pond owned by defendants, a homeowners association and its management company. The trial demand was $2.5 million and plaintiff's counsel asked the jury to award $5 million. While the jury returned a $100,000 verdict for plaintiffs, the verdict was set aside based on the jury's answer to a special interrogatory submitted by the defense.
