Chicago shareholder Larry Kowalczyk recently obtained back-to-back victories defending a Chicago suburb against a TRO petition and, then, a Petition for Injunctive Relief or Mandamus filed by a business claiming it had been wrongfully denied a renewal of its business license. Following a several day bench trial, the court issued its order denying the injunctive relief. The court agreed that the business had attempted to deceive the municipality of the true nature of the business, which posed a health and safety risk to citizens.
