Long Term Care

Querrey & Harrow’s Long Term Care Litigation Practice Group includes shareholder James Bream and his team of associates, including Jamie Waynee, Brad Schneiderman, and Anton Marqui.  Our long term care attorneys have experience in defending long term care, extended care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation facilities through all phases of adverse outcome events, such as pre-suit investigation and crises management, fact discovery, mediation and arbitration dispute resolution, trial and appeals.

Our attorneys have experience in the defense of both common law negligence and statutory causes of action. They have a vast range of knowledge in the precedent and legislative obligations, duties and restrictions imposed on extended and long term care facilities, one of the most heavily regulated industry in the health care arena. We have successfully defended our clients in matters involving claims of abuse, neglect and criminal activity on the part of nursing homes, nursing home employees, and independent contractors. Our attorneys have defended claims involving impaired skin integrity, mental health, guardianships, falls, pneumonia and sepsis, elopement, assault, death, amputation, and catastrophic illness involving residents.
