
Jamie Waynee concentrates her practice in the areas of medical malpractice, healthcare liability, guardianship law and premises liability. She represents hospitals, physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers involving various medical specialties in all aspects of the litigation process.
Currently, a large portion of her practice involves petitioning for the appointment of a guardian for patients with diminished mental capacity who do not have an advanced directive or family member available to assist with their healthcare decisions. Ms. Waynee has served as a guest lecturer on medical malpractice law at Notre Dame Law School and has presented to medical students and residents at Midwestern University.
Ms. Waynee received her J.D. from the IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law, where she served as an editor for the Chicago-Kent Law Review and clerked for the Cook County Public Defender’s Office. Ms. Waynee received CALI awards for excellence in Professional Responsibility, Criminal Procedure and Trial Advocacy.
