
Michele Oshman is a member of the firm’s Appellate and Insurance Coverage practice groups. She concentrates her practice in the areas of insurance coverage, reinsurance and complex defense litigation. She has represented the interests of insurance companies in state and federal courts throughout the country, including disputes over coverage for underlying mass tort, professional liability, environmental, asbestos, construction defects, product liability, medical, municipal liability and other claims. She has also defended manufacturers in product liability cases, including nationwide class action matters.

Defended insurance companies in disputes regarding coverage for nationwide claims involving silicone breast implants, HIV/blood products, and noise-induced hearing loss claims.
Defended three manufacturers of phentermine in nationwide fen/phen claims.
Successfully defended insurer against coverage claim involving asbestos property damage in schools.
Participated in appeal in Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Co. v. Stonewall Insurance Company, et al. coverage matter to the Kansas Supreme Court, resulting in favorable rulings for insurer client.
