
Daniel Kirk is a shareholder in the Chicago office of Querrey & Harrow. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for the Cook County State’s Attorney Office and as a legislative aide to the Chicago City Council Committee on Environmental Protection & Public Utilities. He also has experience in commercial litigation and family law from a previous law firm.
While serving as prosecutor he was a frequent lecturer to the Chicago Police Department on issues of search and seizure and related constitutional topics. Since joining Querrey & Harrow, he has authored articles including an update on the use of felony convictions as impeachment at trial entitled “Prior Convictions Are No Secret”.
Mr. Kirk has tried numerous jury cases and presently concentrates his practice in the areas of premises liability, transportation, product liability, commercial liability and criminal defense.
While attending law school, Mr. Kirk was a semi-finalist in the Chicago Kent Moot Court Competition.
