Roger Littman, Shareholder

Roger Littman obtained his JD in 1979 and in 1980 was appointed an Assistant Attorney General, representing governmental agencies and officials in administrative hearings and in State and Federal Courts.  In three years of trials throughout Illinois, Roger defended claims of excessive discipline, improper termination, civil rights violations, employment discrimination and personal injury.

Since joining Querrey & Harrow in 1983, Roger Littman has developed his practice specialty in representing physicians, nurses, clinics, and hospitals.  Of more than 50 jury trials, the most recent 25 have been in cases alleging medical negligence.  Claims against cardiologists, surgeons and emergency medicine practioners involving death and brain injury make up the majority of his work.

Roger represents his clients both in the courts and before the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation.  He has earned an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Medical Malpractice Trial Experience

Roger Littman represents doctors and other medical professionals through major medical liability insurance providers in Illinois.  He handles lawsuit from the northern Illinois city of Rockford to Shelby County in central Illinois.  Mr. Littman is also licensed in Wisconsin.  His complete medical malpractice trial record since 1999 is set out below.  Of those eighteen trials, fourteen have resulted in $0 payment to the plaintiff from his client. Of seven malpractice trials between 1989 and 1999, five resulted in no payment.

Feb. 1999 - Specialty - cardiology; Injury - death.  Verdict: Not Guilty

Nov. 1999 - Specialty - anesthesiology; Injury - death.  Verdict: Not Guilty

Sept. 2000 - Specialty - psychiatric hospital care; Injury - death.  Verdict: $625,000 with a $325,000 setoff
