Eileen M. Sethna concentrates her practice in commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters, including business reorganizations, creditor's rights, and individual insolvencies. She has represented debtors, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, and other parties in all transactional and litigation aspects of bankruptcy and reorganization including: fraud, false pretenses, preference, fraudulent and other avoidable transfers. Ms. Sethna also offers experience in complex litigation relating to commercial business disputes, including breach of contract, security agreements, mechanic's liens and mortgage foreclosures in both federal and state courts.
Prior to joining Querrey & Harrow, Ltd., Ms. Sethna worked in the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights practice group of a small Chicago-based law firm. She clerked with the Cook County State's Attorney's in Child Support Enforcement as well as with the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois.
Ms. Sethna received her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School and her B.A. in Political Science from Providence College. She serves as an alumna panelist judge for John Marshall Law School's Herzog Moot Court Competition and spearheads firm involvement in events which support Misericordia and the Chicago Bar Association's Women Everywhere.
