Community Commitment

Q&H Gives Back: As a firm, we understand the importance of a commitment to community service. Our attorneys assume active roles in local community government, school boards, charitable organizations and service organizations. Whether offering legal skills, volunteer hours, coaching and reffing child sports or simply a helping hand, Querrey & Harrow lawyers find that a truly well-rounded professional serves the greater community as a whole.

In addition to the individual commitments our attorneys make, Querrey & Harrow has supported Misericordia, the Chicago Debate League, and Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, with our attorneys and staff alike contributing time and effort to benefit our community.

For Misericordia, our employee volunteers have spent a day on the streets of the Chicago Loop each year since 2005, raising money for a local home which has provided services for persons in need since 1921 and now supports more than 600 children and adults with developmental disabilities.

For the Chicago Debate League, our employees were invited to serve as guest judges for an annual tournament we sponsored during the school year. Through this experience, we had an opportunity to positively affect the lives of Chicago Public High School students, who spend hundreds of hours outside normal classroom hours working to improve their reading, speaking, writing, and listening skills. This experience empowers them with confidence and knowledge about world issues not normally encountered by teenage students.

In addition, our firm attorneys are regular participants in the annual Race Judicata event championed by Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, whose mission is to ensure that the law works for everyone.  This is a wonderful annual event in downtown Chicago.

Example organizations for which we provide volunteer service and support include:
