Cynthia E. Garcia concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate law, wealth preservation, asset protection planning, estate planning, and trust and probate administration.Her corporate law practice includes representing small and mid-size business owners in various facets of their business including contracts, employment, real estate transactions, and succession planning. Cynthia’s practice includes advising start-up businesses in every step of the process, including selecting and organizing the proper business entity, as well as, advising the business owner on tax ramification of each option.Cynthia’s estate planning and wealth preservation practice includes providing individual clients with advice in the areas of tax planning, lifetime and testamentary estate planning, as well as, strategizing succession plans for closely held business owners.Her experience in trust and estate administration includes representing fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and heirs in both contested and uncontested court proceedings.Cynthia combines her expertise in estate planning with her knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security in order to strategize and implement plans that will carry out elder clients’ needs and desires. Cynthia also assists clients with special needs trusts and other planning tools in order to address the needs of families with special needs minor or adult children.Cynthia is fluent in Spanish and is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association and American Bar Association. She is a member of the Alexian Brothers Foundation Hospice Council.
