Matthew Luecke graduated from North Central College in Naperville in 1995 and John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 1999. He has practiced insurance defense for the majority of his career, including auto accident defense, premises liability, medical malpractice, common carrier, private carrier, and semi-truck defense. He has tried more than 40 of these types of cases before a jury to verdict, and has conducted more than 15 bench trials (including bad faith litigation against an insurance company). Mr. Luecke is also an accomplished appellate lawyer having briefed and argued numerous cases.

Representative Results
Confidential medical malpractice case tried to verdict in April 2015 involving pituitary adenoma resection resulting in the death of a patient. Verdict in favor of the defendant neurosurgeon.
Nasrallah v. Davilla, 326 Ill.App.3d 1036. An appeal was taken after a jury verdict. Reversed on the issue of Judge’s improper denial of Motion for Substitution of Judge as of Right.
Progressive Insurance Company v. Universal Casualty Company, 347 Ill.App.3d 10. An appeal was taken after granting of summary judgment against Universal. Reversed on the issues questions of material fact regarding notice of the underlying lawsuit to Universal and doctrine of equitable subrogation.
