We regularly provide legal services for two major areas of interest to health care providers.  First we support the business operations of our health care clients.  Second, we defend malpractice claims and commercial litigation claims made against our clients. Recently, for example, we represented two major suburban hospitals, drafting and negotiating multimillion dollar design and construction contracts for the expansion of their facilities.  We also assist medical practice groups with their business operations and transactional matters, including corporate formation, drafting joint venture and physician employment agreements, and advising regarding employment law, medicare, fraud, abuse, patient queries, insurance coverage, real estate and equipment leases.

We have defended medical liability claims involving hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, nurses, psychiatrists, and psychologists. We also have represented a wide variety of self-insured and psychiatric hospitals ranging from large teaching institutions to smaller, community-based hospitals.

We recognize that while medical malpractice claims have become an unfortunate part of health care services in our litigious society, the first priority of the medical professional is the practice of medicine.  We identify and respond to our clients' needs and concerns on a personal, professional, and economic level.
